"I Am In Love With The World"
This was 'I Am In Love With The World' - Chicken Shed's tribute to Princess Diana. It was a great experience and we even got to perform it on Top of The Pops.
Hello my name is Gabrielle, I am 21 years old and have recently started my BA Honours Professional Practise in Performing Arts. After achieving my degree I would like to move on to complete my PGCE as I would like to become a Drama teacher to Secondary School students.
I feel that my love for performing developed from a young age, I became part of The Chicken Shed Theatre Company at the age of six, being a part of such an established company was an honour, I was given many opportunities that people of such a young age can only dream of. I had sung in The Royal Albert Hall, down The Mall and with The Spice Girls in Wembley Arena by the age of 13, however the highlight for me each year was taking part in Chicken Shed's famous Christmas Shows.
As time went on and I became older I took a place at a college in Hertfordshire studying Media Production - as film making is something that I also have a growing interest in. By taking the place in Hertfordshire it made it near impossible to get to Chicken Shed on time for the evening sessions so sadly after 11 good years I had to give up my place at Chicken Shed, however I swore that this was not the end of my performing career.
